BLUE AND MISTY

Blue and Misty are 2 year old cobalt blue black masked lovebirds. They are much different than the peachface lovebirds as in they are slightly quieter and prone not to squabble as much. Mind you if they are loose with the peachface they will defend themselves and usually win. I am currently trying to breed these two and will have babies from them available soon, I hope. The two different kinds of lovebirds should not be interbred. The interbreeding ends up with hybrids that are not of either species. Blue and Misty are kept separate from the main aviary with the rest of the lovebirds so that they do not feel threatened in any way and can raise their family in peace and relative tranquility.

BLUE

Blue was bought from an auction because I felt sorry for him but he has turned into by far one of the most favourite of all our birds and most intelligent. He has a crippled up wing and is unable to fly. When he was first brought home, he used our dog to defend himself from the peachface lovebirds. They would chase him and he would run under the feet of the dog. The peachface were not so bold with the dog and he always managed to keep the dog between himself and them. Just goes to show you the intelligence level for these little birds and how they can be comical and quite interesting to watch.

Blue and Misty were sold to a loving family to look after them seeing as I was getting into the parrotlets more. They are very happy in their new home.
